Understanding the Problem
Stakeholder Interviews & Goal Setting
Key Business Goals: Increase successful bookings from luxury clientele; reduce inquiries from budget-conscious customers who do not align with Sama’s price range.
Brand Perception: Sama’s existing site felt outdated and did not fully communicate the premium value proposition.
Market & User Research
Competitive Pricing: Luxury photo booths range from $2,000–$10,000, significantly higher than typical photo booth services.
Ideal Clients: Couples with wedding budgets above $75,000, seeking a high-end, personalized experience.
Surveys & Personas: Gathered insights from past and potential clients to pinpoint user expectations around professionalism, trust, and a clear booking process.
Design Process
1. Strategy & Branding
Brand Refresh: Developed a mood board and style guide emphasizing elegance and minimalism. The refined logo, color palette, and typography were designed to evoke a sense of modern luxury.
Positioning: Aligned copy and imagery to underscore Sama’s unique selling point—high-end service with professional photographers.
2. Information Architecture & Wireframing
Co-Creation Workshop: Collaborated with stakeholders to map out site sections (Home, Services, Gallery, About, Booking) and define a logical user flow.
Wireframes: Iterated on low-fidelity layouts to balance storytelling, brand highlights, and calls-to-action, focusing on transparency around pricing and the booking process.
3. High-Fidelity Prototyping & Testing
Prototypes: Designed fully branded pages in Figma to capture the final aesthetic.
User Testing: Conducted usability sessions with previous clients and potential high-value customers. Feedback emphasized the importance of showcasing real event images and clear, direct language around what the service includes.
4. Accessibility & Responsive Design
Responsive Layout: Ensured the site’s functionality and visual integrity across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Color Contrast: Chose refined tones that comply with accessibility guidelines, ensuring critical text remains legible on both light and dark backgrounds.
Implementation & Future Tracking
Site Launch
Rollout: Deployed the new website with integrated analytics to measure user behavior and inquiry rates.
Stakeholder Training: Provided documentation and a brief training session to the Sama team, empowering them to manage website content and track key metrics.
Ongoing Measurement
Analytics Dashboard: Tracks page visits, time on page, and inquiry form submissions.
6-Month Assessment: Stakeholders plan to review booking rates and lead quality to verify if the redesign effectively aligns with business goals.
Results & Reflections
Immediate Impact
Stronger Brand Identity: Initial qualitative feedback suggests clients perceive Sama as more professional and aligned with a high-end market.
Clearer User Experience: New site architecture and transparent pricing information guide users toward the inquiry form more directly.
Redesigning Sama’s website offered a deep dive into strategic brand alignment and user-focused design within a luxury market. By honing in on client personas and iterating through stakeholder workshops, usability testing, and consistent visual standards, the revamped site now projects a sense of premium quality and professionalism.
The next six months will be dedicated to monitoring real-world usage and inquiry conversions to further refine the experience and validate the project’s success.
